Breathwork for Children CIC provides gentle, evidence-informed breathwork programmes that help children, their families and care providers understand their emotions, regulate their nervous systems and feel safe in their bodies.
We work with schools, families and community settings across Swansea and South Wales, delivering universal, inclusive breathwork support that benefits all children not only those in crisis or with a diagnosis. (Online sessions for families and settings further afield are also available).
Why This Matters
Many children are struggling with anxiety, overwhelm and emotional dysregulation often while waiting months or years for specialist support.
In Swansea Bay, autism and ADHD assessment waits have exceeded two years. During this time, children remain in mainstream education without tailored support, increasing emotional distress and school-related anxiety.
Across Wales:
- 1 in 5 children have a diagnosable mental health condition
- 30–40% experience ongoing anxiety or emotional difficulties
- 67% wait longer than 26 weeks for neurodevelopmental assessment
But emotional wellbeing shouldn’t begin at crisis point. Regulation is a life skill and every child benefits from learning it early.
What We Do
We deliver story-led breathwork sessions and resources that are:
- Age-appropriate and playful
- Inclusive of neurodivergent children
- Easy for schools to embed into daily routines – CPD accreditation available
Our approach supports:
- Emotional regulation and anxiety reduction
- Improved focus and readiness to learn
- Confidence, self-awareness and resilience
Educators tell us classrooms feel calmer and children are more emotionally ready to learn. Parents tell us children are independently choosing breathing tools instead of escalating behaviours.
How Our Work Fits
Our programmes align with:
- The Whole-School Approach to Emotional and Mental Wellbeing
- NHS and Public Health Wales priorities for prevention and early intervention
- The Curriculum for Wales, particularly Health and Well-being
- The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act
This means our work supports both children’s immediate needs and long-term outcomes.
Lasting Impact
We don’t just deliver sessions we leave tools and techniques that can be utilised independently and in the future.
After working with us, families and settings can retain:
- Breathwork cards and visual resources
- Classroom-ready routines and scripts
- Shared language children continue to use independently
This builds internal capacity, reduces reliance on crisis-led support and helps children leave primary education with practical skills for lifelong emotional wellbeing.
Our Vision
A future where breathwork is as normal as brushing teeth taught early, practiced daily, and accessible to every child.

Reviews
Exceptional!
My son has become calmer and more focused after starting breathwork sessions with Sarah. It’s truly been a positive change for our family and I have learnt so much, we use the cards after bath time and even practise bubble blowing in the bath!

Highly recommend!
Sarah came and worked with our class about the emotions behind our feelings and how we can use our breath to help regulate our emotions, whether happy, sad, anxious or excited. It has helped us to appreciate how each other are feeling and regulate our own emotions.

Five stars!
These sessions have helped my child manage anxiety better when I am not around. We are grateful for the caring guidance.
